Journal Entry #5

Today we began to do grid copying. We had draw a grid on out paper and the picture we were to draw and the blocks must be drawn to scale. I would have taken too long to use a ruler and pencil so i folded my page and drew my grid on the picture I was going to draw. I began and it seemed so easy, its just what ever you see in that block draw it in this block. I am really enjoying this drawing technique and I hope i finish my drawing. Journal Entry #4

A few weeks before, we were given and assignment to make a collage and we were also given notes and guidelines to help us along the way. I began gathering my paper according to my green and blue colour scheme. I finally collected enough and began sticking those pieces of paper to my surface. It took me about 15 minutes to finish. I lifted it up and a smile came on my face. I loved my collage. Now today was the day to hand it up and I did. Our teacher said people will get there collages back are to improve them and she would keep the good looking ones. She began calling out names and riffling through the collages. I was scared that she would call my name but I saw my collage and she put it aside. I was so happy. She still has it so I cant post up a picture so as soon as I get it back I will.

Journal Entry #3

Today we began our pastel drawings. The pencil drawing from before was just practice. We had to draw the same thing over again but with pastels and different techniques. We learnt with the oil pastels which I used that you can scrape it to make highligts. We mixed colours together like red yellow and blue to make certain effects.We coloured the outside of the apple light blue one part dark and the other bright to know where the light was coming from. I finished mine and handed up but I got 14 out of 25. I was really disappointed but hope struck. Miss said you can make your drawing better and hand up later that day so I did. I was so lucky to get 24 . I was astonished. Here watch my pastel drawing.

Journal Entry #2

Well today we were to finish up our fruit drawings and I finally brought my apple. I had to start from scratch but it didn't take long for me to finish.It looked really good, like a real apple.We learnt how to wrap which gives the fruit the effect of looking very realistic.I used that technique and it came out really good. I feel proud of my drawing. Here take a look at it.

Journal Entry #1

 Today was alright. We were told to bring fruits to draw but I forgot mine home so we got leaves to draw. It started to look good but then the shading became difficult. I shaded a bit too much.We learnt how to shade according to which direction the light is coming in the room and to not shade highlights. That advice can make a big difference. It can make your drawing look so good but anyways here is my drawing, hope you like it.
